The North Wales Population Needs Assessment 2027 – consultation on draft version is now available for consultation, and we’d like to hear your views.
We are now inviting individuals, communities, organisations and professionals to review the draft and tell us whether we have identified the right messages, evidence and priorities for the region.
We would also like to give a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed their knowledge, experience and expertise so far. Your input has helped shape the draft document and identify the key issues affecting people across North Wales.
Why is the Population Needs Assessment important?
A Population Needs Assessment collects information and statistics about an area. It helps us understand how we can better support people now and what we may need to do in the future. For example, it can show us how many care home places may be needed or whether more services are required to support young people.
- It helps us identify strengths, challenges, available resources and changing community needs, enabling care and support services across North Wales to make informed decisions and plan for the future.
- It helps you get involved and have a say in how services are planned and shows how care and support services can meet your needs now and in the future.
