Digital Social Care Showcase Invite to people who use social care, and their friends and family

04/02/2025

5 March 2025

For most of the day, the showcase will be focusing on helping professionals who work in social care learn how to use technology to better support the people they care for. But starting at 1:30pm, we’re opening up the showcase to everyone, including people who use social care and their families!

This is a great chance to explore how different technologies can help make everyday tasks easier. Like apps that remind you to take your medication, or smart home gadgets that control your lights and heating. We’ll have talks and activities in the afternoon about different technology that can help you. These will be for people with learning disabilities, mobility issues, older people and anyone who may need support.

After the talks, feel free to wander through our exhibition hall, where you can chat with companies about their products. You’ll even have the chance to try out things like apps, virtual reality headsets, and more!

What if I find something that could help me?

If you spot something that could make life a little easier, you might be able to start using it right away. For example, you might discover some handy apps you can download for free or at a low cost to your smartphone.

You could also check out some gadgets you can buy yourself, like smart home tech that can help make things easier around the house.

We would also like your feedback on potential new software and gadgets councils may decide to invest in in the future.

Please tell us if you want to attend the talks and activities

Phone Natalie on 01824 712530 or email nwrich@denbighshire.gov.uk

Let us know if you need information in an alternative format or have any other needs.

To visit the exhibition hall, just turn up after 1.30pm on the day.
