North Wales Dementia Centres

31/01/2025

We are looking for people to join our wonderful team of volunteers!

If you are interested in volunteering in one of the North Wales Dementia Centres, or would
like further information, please contact:

Phone: 01492 542212 Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Email: NWmemorysupport@ctnw.org.uk

You can offer as little or as much of your time as you wish!

The North Wales Memory Support Pathway offers tailored support for people living with dementia. This includes individuals who are concerned about memory issues, those living with dementia at home or in hospital, and their friends, family and carers.

Support can be accessed by visiting or contacting one of six Dementia Centres. The centres are located in Llangefni, Bangor, Colwyn Bay, Denbigh, Holywell, and Wrexham.

The Dementia Centres offer a wide variety of services including:

  • information and advice
  • guest speakers
  • emotional and peer support
  • health clinics

The Dementia Centres are staffed by a Dementia Coordinator part-time and supported by volunteers. Volunteers are a valuable asset to the Dementia Centres, providing welcome support in group sessions and activities. We are looking for volunteers who would like to support their local community and join our wonderful team.

Why become a volunteer?

  • Volunteering at one of the Dementia Centres will provide you with the opportunity to learn new skills and share your experiences.
  • You will be surrounded by people who are passionate about dementia care and support, people who truly want to make a difference.
  • The time you give can have a huge impact on the life of something living with dementia, as well as their friends, family and cares.
